4K4 TCG was created in memory of my brother, Alan. He lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a condition that made everyday life incredibly challenging — but through it all, he found real joy in collecting Pokémon cards. What started as a simple interest quickly became a passion; Alan had a keen eye for the special cards long before they became popular or valuable. His collection was especially focused on Pikachu — his favourite Pokémon — and over the years, he built an extensive Pikachu collection that went far beyond the cards themselves. From plush toys to limited edition prints, his love for the character was everywhere, and it gave him a genuine sense of pride and excitement.
More Than a Hobby
After Alan passed away, I inherited his collection. At first, I just wanted to keep it safe — to preserve the things he loved most. But as I revisited the folders and shelves, I realised this wasn’t just a collection of cards. It was a reflection of his joy, his focus, and his way of staying connected to the world around him. The more I looked through it, the more I felt the pull to do something with it — something that would honour his memory while continuing the hobby we both cared about.
That’s how 4K4 TCG came to life: not just a shop, but a personal project with real roots. Every card I sell is handled with care and purpose, and this business is shaped by the same appreciation for collecting that Alan had — from the buzz of pulling a rare card to the comfort of finding one you’ve been chasing for years.
